We partner with Zoetis for all lab-work and diagnostics. Routine preventative care is the best way to let your pet live their best life. We prepare a specialized treatment plan for each pet with recommendations for vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

At Rivers Edge Veterinary Practice, our highly skilled Veterinarian knows that sometimes an emergency does not mean you need to rush to the ER. We offer after-hour and weekend emergency mobile appointments to determine the best medical and treatment solution when it matters most.

Just like in human medicine, it's recommended that your pet(s) see their veterinarian a minimum of once a year for their wellness visit and bloodwork. If you notice any changes in their behavior, or anything out of the ordinary, we recommend you contact your veterinarian rather than wait for your annual exam.
How often do i need to do routine wellness visits for my pet(s)?
It's best to start your new puppy on a dog food filled with the nutrients and vitamins they need. Most veterinarians will recommend brands that have many years of testing and science behind their food. These include brands such as hills Science Diet, Royal Canin, and Purina. Please speak with your veterinarian before giving your pets grain free or raw foods.
I just got a new puppy, what do i feed my puppy?
We utilize Zoetis labs, all lab-work is processed within 1-2 business days. Faster turnaround is available depending on the issue.
How quickly will I receive the results of the bloodwork/labwork?
So glad you asked! While we specialize in small animal medicine, we do see bunnies, hamsters, hedgehogs, and some lizards.
